Elementary School Health Aide
Provide health services and manage the health office for Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade Elementary School
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides all medical treatments/medicine dispensing as prescribed by a physician for the medical care necessary in a school setting for one or more students.
- Assists students with developmental delays, medical conditions such as seizures, Cerebral Palsy, and activities of daily living procedures at school and in the classroom as needed.
- Responsible for record keeping and accurate documentation of student health records
- Attends assigned IEP meetings.
- Carries out first aid and emergency care procedures, as required.
- Reports to parents, school personnel, physicians, clinics, and other agencies on school medical matters as appropriate.
- Carries out preventive health service programs per applicable laws, health department recommendations, and school district policies.
- Carries out health and safety education activities as directed.
- Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATONS REQUIRED:
- Must possess a CNA, EMT, LPN or RN credential.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- 30 hours per week. Monday through Friday from 8:30-3pm
