Job Description for the Middle School Co-Ed Coach Soccer at Sedona Red Rock High School

The Middle School Co-Ed Coach at Sedona Red Rock Middle School and High School plays a vital role in developing student-athletes both on and off the court.   2. Coaching Experience: At least three years of coaching experience at the high school level or higher, preferably in this sport. Experience in player development, team strategy, and game management is essential.
  3. Certifications: 
    1. Must possess or be willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certifications. 
    2. Completion of Arizona Interscholastic Association certification requirements 
    3. Complete Sedona Oak Creek Unified School District hiring process
  4. Knowledge of the Game: A comprehensive understanding of sport rules, techniques, and strategies. The coach should stay updated on current trends and best practices in coaching and player development.
  5. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with students, parents, and school administration.

Expectations

  1. Team Development: The Head Coach is responsible for building a cohesive and competitive varsity team. This includes recruiting players, developing practice plans, and leading training sessions that enhance individual and team skills.
  2. Game Management: The coach will oversee all aspects of game preparation, including strategy development, in-game decision-making, and post-game analysis. The coach is expected to promote sportsmanship and fair play at all times.
