Director of Systems and Leadership Development (Part-Time – 20 hours/week)
Position Summary:
Responsible for overseeing and strengthening professional learning systems and practices across the organization. This position leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), supports data-driven instruction, and mentors school leaders in effective instructional leadership to ensure alignment with district goals and student achievement outcomes.
Systems Leadership, Professional Learning, & Leadership Development
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of district-wide professional development aligned to the district strategic plan.
- Develop and maintain coherent systems that support high-quality teaching and learning across all schools.
- Plan, facilitate, and evaluate professional development opportunities for certified and classified staff.
- Ensure alignment of professional learning with district priorities, frameworks, and student outcomes
- Support leadership teams in aligning site-based goals with district priorities and improving overall instructional coherence.
- Assist in developing leadership capacity across the organization through targeted support and coaching cycles.
- Assist in fostering a culture of collaboration, reflection, and shared accountability across the organization.
Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and Leadership Development
- Oversee the implementation and effectiveness of PLCs across the organization.
- Coach and support PLC leaders in best practices including collaboration, goal setting, use of formative assessments, and cycles of continuous improvement.
- Provide coaching to school leaders on implementing effective PLCs, data use, and best practices.
- Establish clear expectations and structures for PLC processes to ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Monitor PLC outcomes and provide feedback to site and district leadership.
- Lead systems for the collection, analysis, and use of student data to inform instruction.
- Support staff in analyzing data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for instructional improvement.
- Guide the development and implementation of instructional responses based on PLC data analysis.
- Collaborate with site leadership to ensure data-driven decision making is embedded in daily practice.
